Dr. Jayme R. Cornwell, DPM

Jayme R. Cornwell, DPM, is a Granbury, Texas native who is proud to serve the community she calls home. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

During her second year of medical school, Dr. Cornwell was selected for clinical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, a nationally recognized leader in diabetic foot care and limb salvage. There, she trained alongside world-renowned foot and ankle surgeons, including Dr. Lawrence Harkless and Dr. Thomas Zgonis. She was also mentored by Dr. Larry Lavery, a leading authority in diabetic limb salvage, as well as Dr. LaFontaine, now a professor at the South Texas podiatry school.

Dr. Cornwell completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas, followed by an advanced limb salvage fellowship under the direction of Dr. Lawrence Lavery.

Following residency, Dr. Cornwell practiced in a high-volume podiatric medical and surgical practice and wound care clinic in Killeen, Texas. She later returned to Granbury to establish her own practice and provide high-quality foot and ankle care to the community where she was raised.

In 2012, Dr. Cornwell founded LoneStar Foot & Ankle Group, PLLC in Granbury, Texas. She is dedicated to conservative treatment approaches whenever possible and believes strongly in involving patients in the decision-making process. Her mission is to restore foot and ankle health while helping patients remain active and independent.

Dr. Cornwell is an active member of the Granbury community and serves on two city boards. She is a proud mother of two and a faithful follower of her Lord Jesus Christ.
